Yesterday was the first day I realized that Holidays are over and it is time to get ready for Spring 2013!!!! Does not Spring 2013 just sound fabulous? My perfect plan for this coming summer is to visit Russia and my great friend from childhood is going to turn 30 (as am I a little after her). It is a big deal in Russia to celebrate those dates with zeroes at the end. So my friend will celebrate it in a big way, and it got me very excited to start looking for a cute dress… and for some trends for S/S 2013. So I thought I would share.
Not to bore anyone with details, in short these pictures summarize 6 big ideas – contrast of black and white, see-through lightweight materials, high-end patchwork, over-the-top ruffles, power suits, and origami. Personally, I am in love with 1st, 2nd, and 4th – can’t wait to find a ruffled dress for myself!
Yesterday was such an amazing girls day! Katya’s two little girls and I got an amazing nail treatment! Look at the design Katya came up with. There is no end to her creativity
Being sick really inspired me to buy pine and pumpkin spice candles, pour Ghirardelli mocha hot chocolate, and prepare for Christmas. This is how I spent my day yesterday: shopped for a “Christmas Tree” (seen below), bought a couple of presents, wrapped them, watched Moonlight Kingdom while enjoying my candles and hot chocolate. Christmas is coming to town!
This weekend was amazing! I surprised Tyler with a weekend trip to Napa (it was his Birthday). I also got him a sweater from The Gap
The Fall just started in the Bay Area, the air was so crisp – perfect for cozy sweaters and some wine. Of course, I pulled on my favorite turtleneck and some bright pants, I am very much against dark winter clothes. I also finally had a chance to wear my Chelsea booties.

Every now and then I like stalking Russian fashion magazines. Yesterday was one of those days. The magazine of choice was Glamour Russia. Long story short, the trend I found through pages is DENIM! And it is all over the world.

Yesterday I received my beauty box from Allure!
Well, let me start from the beginning. About 2 weeks ago I received an email from Allure that their Fall Beauty Box is on sale. Amazing! This Sunday I went to see “The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultie” at de Young Museum. I can’t even explain in words how much I loved it. I hope these pictures will tell it all.
